It's 2am in Hollywood and I've given up on sleep for now. After wrapping up Vanie Poyey Photography's Masterclass, I've got a million things circling around in my head.
I'm thinking about gear I need to look at (after I take an inventory of what I have on hand) in order to get what I want out of the pictures, which I have a very definite direction for.
I'm really questioning the studio space I'm in.. what's really a hinderance and what isn't? I am unable to have a window... ever. So natural light will never happen in there. So are we talking about new space? I have a good idea of where I'd like to be. But it's significantly more. It _would_ lend itself to a better experience for the client and that's the important part. Unfortunately, it's not a question of whether I'm willing to pay for it. It's whether I can pay for it. That means bringing more business in.
In for a penny, in for a pound.
And, of course, it's not just about spending money. I'm thinking of all the little things I need to do now to step up my game and make a better client experience.
Whew! It's almost overwhelming and it's literally keeping me up at night. But this is part of the fun and excitement of being a business owner, right? And if it were easy, everyone would do it. I'm excited about where it goes from here.
